An extra crew, on call.
Dylan Kahler shoots, flies and cuts for production companies and agencies in New York. One person, one insurance certificate, capture through delivery. When a shooter falls through, he can usually cover the date the same week.
Three ways to use us
- Owner-operator days with a full FX6 kit, events to branded shoots
- Aerials in the same booking, under Part 107, no second vendor
- White-label AI video you can sell to your own clients
- Shoot through post, so a job can finish without a handoff
- Former Digital Director for a U.S. Senate committee: used to tight deadlines and approvals
- Rates in writing before any job is on the clock
- Same-week cover in New York when a vendor drops
Asked and answered
Do you bring your own kit?
Yes. Owner-operator with a Sony FX6 cinema camera, a Sony A7III B camera, a 24-70mm f/2.8 G Master, wireless and shotgun audio, lighting and a drone flown under Dylan’s own FAA Part 107 certificate. Long glass is rented when a job specs it.
Can you cover a date on short notice?
Usually, yes. If a shooter drops out, send the call sheet; most same-week dates in New York can be covered.
Can you deliver an edit, not just footage?
Yes. Shoot through post with one person, or footage only on your drives and your naming. Your call.
What is the AI video work?
Fully AI-made short video on a locked visual system: characters, sets, voice and music, built and finished by Quick Cut and delivered under your name. Disclosed where the platform or law requires it.
What are your rates?
A written rate card goes out before any job, so the number is settled before anyone is on the clock. Email for it.
Set in Caslon, the English typeface William Caslon cut in London in the 1720s. The endpapers are a Spanish-wave marbling, made in code. Every film here was directed by Dylan Kahler and finished in New York.
